Privacy Policy

How Looply AI handles your information, written in plain language and kept short enough to actually read.

The short version

  • Your tasks, reminders and payments sit on your own account, and other members cannot see them.
  • We never sell your personal information, and there are no advertising trackers in Looply.
  • Ask Looply sends the text you typed to an AI provider for one reason only: to draft the plan you asked for.
  • Card details are entered on the payment provider checkout page. They never reach Looply.
  • You can edit or delete anything you have added, and ask us to close your account, at any time.

01What this policy covers

Looply AI is a personal assistant that turns what you type into tasks, reminders and a clear view of your recurring payments. This policy explains what information we handle when you use Looply, why we handle it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to the Looply app, this website, the emails we send and our support conversations. It does not apply to other companies’ sites or apps you reach from a link inside Looply — those have their own policies.

02Information you give us

Most of what we hold is what you put in yourself.

  • Account details: the email address you register with and the name on your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Your content: tasks, deadlines, priorities, lists, reminders, recurring payments with amounts and due dates, notes, and the goals and display name you set up.
  • Your routine: the time you prefer for your daily check-in.
  • Conversations with Ask Looply: the messages you type and the plans it drafts from them.
  • Support messages: your name, email address and message when you get in touch, kept so we can reply and follow up.

03Information we record as you use Looply

  • Sign-in and session data: a session token stored in your browser that keeps you signed in until you sign out.
  • Plan usage: how many AI plans you have generated in the current period, so free and paid limits are applied fairly.
  • Subscription records: the plan you are on, whether it is active or cancelled, and the renewal dates we receive from our payment provider.
  • Product analytics: counts such as a plan being approved or an upgrade page being viewed, with basic technical details attached. These events never include the content of your tasks, notes, payments or conversations.
  • Technical logs: errors and request records used to keep Looply running and secure.

04How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

  • To run Looply: turn your words into a plan, keep your tasks and reminders in order, and show your recurring totals and next due dates.
  • To send the service emails you expect: verifying your account, resetting your password, and one daily summary a day when you have it switched on.
  • To manage your plan: apply free and paid limits, grant access after a purchase, and end paid features when a subscription finishes.
  • To keep Looply safe: detect abuse, block unauthorised access and fix faults.
  • To improve the product: understand which features are used, counting activity rather than reading your content.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

05AI features and your content

Ask Looply is powered by a large language model. When you send a message, the text you typed is sent to our AI provider so it can draft your plan, and the result is stored back on your account. We send the minimum needed to produce the plan you asked for.

Two things worth remembering:

  • Don’t paste in sensitive details you would not want processed by a third-party AI service — passwords, card or bank numbers, government identifiers or health information.
  • Plans are suggestions. Looply can misread a date or an amount, so check anything that matters against your own records before relying on it.

06Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Base44 Payments, the payment service built into the platform Looply runs on. Your card details are entered on the payment provider’s secure checkout page, are never stored in Looply, and your full card number is never visible to us.

  • When a payment succeeds we receive a confirmation, and we record your plan, the amount and currency charged, and the purchase and subscription identifiers.
  • We use those records to give you the right features, to show your current plan in the app, and to answer billing questions.
  • If you cancel, we keep a record that access continues until the end of the period you paid for, then returns to the free plan.

07Internal notifications we post

When you complete a task you marked as high priority, a short summary is posted to our private team workspace on Slack so we can keep an eye on reliability. It contains the task’s title, its list and its due date, and how many high-priority tasks remain — never your notes, amounts, messages or account details.

These notifications are for our own monitoring. They are not marketing, and nothing in them is published.

08Emails you receive from Looply

We send the service emails you would expect from an account: verifying your email address, resetting your password, and confirming a purchase or upgrade. If you have the daily summary switched on, we send at most one summary a day, covering the tasks and payments we already hold for you. We do not send marketing email.

09Cookies and local storage

Looply uses your browser’s cookies and local storage for the essentials: keeping you signed in, remembering which page to return you to after signing in, and holding your in-app preferences.

There are no advertising cookies and no third-party advertising trackers in Looply. The product analytics described above are counts of how the app is used, not profiles of you.

10Who can see your information

  • You: everything you add is stored against your own account, and one member’s records are not visible to another.
  • Our service providers, acting on our instructions: Base44 (the platform that hosts the app, stores the data, runs the AI features and delivers email), our payment provider for subscriptions, and our AI provider for plans.
  • Slack, for the internal task-completion notifications described in section 7.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or where it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of our members.

11How long we keep things

  • Your content stays until you delete it or close your account.
  • Subscription, purchase and billing records are kept as long as we need them for billing, tax and accounting.
  • Usage counters and technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
  • When you ask us to close your account, we delete your content and account records, and copies still held in backups clear shortly afterwards.

12How we protect your data

Your data travels encrypted, access is limited to what each part of the service needs, and every account’s records are separated from everyone else’s. Passwords are never stored in readable form.

No online service can promise perfect security. Please use a strong, unique password, keep it to yourself, and tell us straight away if anything about your account looks unusual.

13Your choices and rights

  • Edit or delete anything you have added, at any time, straight from the app.
  • Change your display name, goals or check-in time in your profile, and stop the daily summary if you would rather not receive it.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account, by getting in touch.
  • Depending on where you live — the UK and EU, California and other regions — you may have further rights, including access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
  • You can complain to your local data protection authority, though we would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

14Children

Looply is not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age where you live, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

15Where your data is processed

Our providers run in data centres in the United States and other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place for international transfers.

16Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Looply after that means you accept the updated policy.

17Contact us

Questions, requests or complaints about privacy? Reach us through the contact page and we will respond within the timeframes that apply to us. You can also ask us there to close your account and delete everything in it.
